| 説明 | Photograph taken from an aircraft looking back at a group of U.S. Army Air Forces Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress bomber aircraft flying through German anti-aircraft artillery shells exploding around them, somewhere over Europe during World War II. B-17s believed to be from the 381st Bomb Group, 8th Air Force. Wallace W. Chappell of Elizabeth City, N.C., was serving as a co-pilot in the 532nd Bomb Squadron, 381st Bomb Group, when this photograph was taken [circa 1940s]. From Wallace W.
