| 説明 | The Peace Memorial Park has tried to create a more pleasant atmosphere in it's halo-ed (and once radioactive) grounds, probably to soothe the nerves of horrified visitors to the park, who see the destroyed Genbaku Dome (the Atom Bomb Dome) and gawk open mouthed at the many poignant images in the museum on the premises- we will get there in a bit. (see subsequent pictures). Granted that the Japanese were not angels either during WW-II, many sites worldwide bear testimony to their often ruthless actions which brought grief to many. But that granted, and given that there was an ongoing war at the time, (WW- II), I really fail to see the logic of flattening entire cities with weapons of mass destruction, leading to hundreds of thousands of deaths, mostly of innocent civilians, many of them women and children. And despite being the only country in the world to have used nuclear weapons (of mass destruction) in recent history, today it's the same USA which tries to be the policeman of the world and twist peoples' arms by warning about 'undesirable' countries getting hold of nuclear weapons.
