| 説明 | This incredible view of the exploding dense urban Dallas cityscape is seen from the Belmont Hotel area in Oak Cliff, on the west side of Downtown Dallas. The Belmont name can be seen in the upper left hand corner of the screen.With the Calatrava Bridge, seen center photo above, extending the "golden corridor" of Woodall Rodgers Expressway into West Dallas and Oak Cliff, billions in new dense urban development will follow just like what has already occurred along Woodall Rodgers in Uptown on its north and the Financial District to its south. While some may like to call it a bridge to nowhere, in fact it is THE bridge to the future. Plans call for over 30,000,000 square feet of new dense urban highrise and skyscraper development to be built in West Dallas along with the addition of 24,000 residents in the next 17 years ... pretty incredible growth. It is the Calatrava Bridge and the new frontier it will open up that will catapult Dallas into its status as the "Chicago of the South" by 2030. The Calatrava Bridge and its extension of the Woodall Rodgers Expressway into Oak Cliff and West Dallas is a keystone development that will, in retrospect, be the enabler of fulfilling Dallas' ultimate destiny as the "Chicago of the South". The beginning signs of that ultimate destiny (and relatively near term in the next 20 years or less) are already displaying themselves. |
