| 説明 | c/n 122-39488Full US military serial 44-73029Served with the Nicaraguan Air Force (Fuerza Aérea de la Guardia Nacional Nicaragua) from 1958 to 1963 with the serial ‘GN 122’.Now privately owned and painted to represent Lt Robert Eckfeld’s ‘Bald Eagle’, a P-51B (serial 42-106839) operated by the 374th Fighter Squadron, 361st Fighter Group from RAF Little Walden in 1944. Not totally authentic for a P-51D, but a fantastic scheme nonetheless.Seen departing to take part in the 2015 Arsenal of Democracy Flyover to celebrate the 70th Anniversary of VE Day and the end of WW2.Culpeper Regional Airport, Virginia, USA8th May 2015 |
