| 説明 | Pinus strobus 'Vercurve' (Greg Williams, VT 2000s) 2020 photo - Common Name: Dwarf Scotch Pine, Size at 10 years: 5x4ft., twisted Blue-green needles, USDA Hardiness Zone 3, In Garden Bed HR-VC2 for 4.9 YEARS (HLG). Planted in 2015.ACS: Pinus strobus 'Vercurve' is a broadly pyramidal, dwarf selection of Eastern White pine with interesting, twisted Blue-green needles. After 10 years of growth, a mature specimen will measure 5 feet (1.5 m) tall and 4 feet (1 m) wide, an annual growth rate of 4 to 6 inches (10 - 15 cm).'Vercurve' was one of three seedling selections made in the mid 2000s by Vermont's Greg Williams, the other two being 'Mini Twists' (the slowest growing of the three), and 'Tiny Kurls' (the second fastest). All were raised from seed sourced from his specimen of Pinus strobus ‘Horsham,’ which was planted in the vicinity of a large Pinus strobus ‘Torulosa,’ the apparent pollen parent. Talon Buchholz named the plant and introduced it through his Buchholz & Buchholz nursery in Gaston, Oregon. The cultivar name is a combination of Vermont and curved needles.Location: Michigan State University, Hidden Lake Gardens, Tipton, MI.
