説明 | Chamaecyparis obtusa 'Tsatsumi Gold' (Sport) 2020 photo - Common Name: Dwarf Hinoki Cypress, Size at 10 years: 4x3ft., green, USDA Hardiness Zone 4, In Garden Bed HR-VC for 7.9 YEARS (HLG). Planted in 2012.Missouri Botanical Garden: Chamaecyparis obtusa 'Tsatsumi Gold' is a flattened globose selection of Hinoki cypress with deep, golden-yellow chaotically intertwined branching. Secondary branchlets are more wiry and filamentous will often grow with random fasciations (cockscombs) at the tips. After 10 years of growth, a mature plant will measure 4 feet (1.3 m) tall and 3 feet (1 m) wide, an annual growth rate of 4 to 5 inches (10 - 12.5 cm).This cultivar originated in Japan and was first distributed across Europe in the early 1980s. It is assumed to have come from a golden sport on Ch. obtusa 'Tsatsumi.'Location: Michigan State University, Hidden Lake Gardens, Tipton, MI.
