| 説明 | Every time I visit the Red Kite feeding station at Gigrin Farm Red Kite Centre, in Rhayader, Powys, there seems to be more and more birds appearing. Sundays visit was no exception, as you can see from the image.The Red Kites start congregating at around 1pm, ready for the farmer to feed them at 2pm (3pm, in the Summer).The sight is even more amazing when you consider the species was down to just a handful of birds in the 1960's.Reintroduction, careful management, and public awareness, has certainly helped enormously since then. |
