| 説明 | This is a photograph from the annual St. Stephen's Day 6KM Road Race, Fun Run and Walk in Kilbeggan, Co. Westmeath, Ireland. This race was held at noon on Thursday 26th December 2019 (Lá Fhéile Stiofáin). The race starts and finishes at the main street of Kilbeggan. The race is organised as a fund raiser for Our Lady's Hospital For Sick Children in Crumlin in Dublin. The race is Chip Timed by MyRunResults. However, there is no official entry fee for the race. Participants are asked to give a donation to the charitable cause of the hospital in Crumlin. This year almost 400 people took part in the race. The race route takes in the main street, the Tullamore road and a loop around the River Brosna as it feeds the world famous Kilbeggan Whiskey Distillery. Overall, a very well organised race with favourable conditions for running weatherwise. A great local event, supported by local runners, for a great cause. |
