説明 | I'm sure you guys are getting sick of seeing these, but as the weather gets colder, the opportunities for an insect macro photographer dry up quite a bit...I rarely see the Mexican Bush Katydids eating anything. I saw them before at work and they were eating shriveled up yellow flowers, I have no idea the name. Now, years later I caught a couple eating the wilted flowers on my Mother's Pineapple Sage plant. They have been congregating on this plant for a few months now. Starting off as tiny nymphs and growing into adolescents/adults. I've tried looking into what they like, where they live, what they eat, but there doesn't seem to be a ton of information. I live within' driving distance of the University of California Riverside (UCR), and their amazing entomology department. I need to just drive out there and talk to someone.Pineapple Sage: www.motherearthliving.com/plant-profile/herb-to-know-pine...Mexican Bush Katydid: bugguide.net/node/view/88162 |
