説明 | Australia. BMC's smallest car, the Mini, featured a transversely mounted engine, front wheel drive and ten inch wheels.The 1959-67 Mk I Mini had sliding side windows and external door hinges.In 1961, two upmarket models were introduced; the Wolseley Hornet and the Riley Elf, they both had extra chrome, an extended rear end with slightly finned wings, the front-end incorporated each marque's traditional upright grille design. They got a full width woodgrain dash with gloveboxes either side of the instrument binnacle, most had two tone paint. The 1962 Mk II got overriders and the larger Cooper 998cc engine (Mk II badges). The 1966 Mk III got disc brakes, wind up windows, external door hinges were removed (3 years before the rest of the Mini range).Engines; 34hp 848, 38hp 998cc 4 cylThe Riley Elf was also assembled at Dominion Motors in New Zealand from 1965-70. |
