| 説明 | The 173rd Airborne Infantry Brigade Combat Team (IBCT) used its new Tactical Network Transport-On The Move (TNT-OTM) systems during Exercise Saber Junction (ESJ) 19, which wrapped up on Monday, at the Grafenwoehr and Hohenfels Training Areas, Germany. This exercise featured approximately 5,400 participants from the U.S. and 15 other ally and partner nations and assesses the readiness of the unit to execute land operations in a joint, combined environment and promotes interoperability with partnering allies and partner nations. As part of the PM Tactical Network's TNT-Modernization In Service (TNT-MIS), a major effort in-line with establishing unified network transport, the PM (PdM Mission Network) completed TNT-OTM new equipment training and fielding for the 173rd Airborne IBCT in early September, at Grafenwoehr, Germany. Although the unit is based in in Vicenza, Italy, the PM fielded the unit in Germany so the unit could immediately use the equipment during Exercise Saber Junction 19. The unit transitioned from TNT-At The Halt (ATH) to OTM systems, which include the Tactical Communications Node-Lite; Network Operations and Security Center-Lite; Next Generation (NextGen) Point of Presence and NextGen Soldier Network Extension. PM Tactical Network not only reduced system complexity and increased reliability of the legacy TNT-OTM vehicle integrations, but it also reduced the size, weight, and power (SWaP) to make the unit more expeditionary.Photo by Sgt.
