| 説明 | When I visited Cork last year I stayed at the Metropole Hotel and I could see this street from the hotel. This year when I visited the area in May there was a lot of construction work underway because of the new Harley Street bridge.Early this year it was announced Cork city's newest pedestrian bridge has been named after Mary Elmes. Mary Elmes was born in Ballintemple in Cork city. She is credited with having helped over 200 Jewish children escape Vichy France and the threat of concentration camps.The bridge was opened to the public in July 2019. |
