| 説明 | These are a few of the male Spotted Wing fruit flies (Drosophile suzukii) attracted to my garden by an over-ripe banana. There were females around also and courtship was in progress. This species is a pest of soft fruit, and worse than other fruit flies because the females have a saw-like ovipositer which can pierce the skins of intact fruit. |
