| 説明 | A visit to a robot restaurant was highly recommended, but I did not go in as entry alone was an eye watering 8.000 yen! I learned later that the tickets have a face value are ¥8,000 per person, but if you book via the “restaurant’s” own website, with a credit card, they are reduced to ¥7,500 Food extra. While the robot part is true, the restaurant part is not. Tickets no longer include a sub-standard bento (it can be added for ¥1,000, but it may not really be worth it, you may be better off eating in one of the cafes outside. Some robot cafes do have some cinema-priced snacks should you get peckish. This is a total rip off in my book, though I've also read elsewhere that the high price for entry is because of the large cost of fitting out such a cafe, with the equipment and decor itself costing a bomb. Probably like most medical centres nowadays- buy a whole lot of expensive equipment and then rip off the poor patient! (Tokyo, Japan, Apr/ May 2019) |
