| 説明 | Taking a break along the Yakima River during my 2019 bicycle tour. Down in the Yakima Canyon.I like to see what radio stations I can get in obscure places. This antenna booster isn't very heavy so I often bring it with me.Even in the middle of the day, KOMO News Radio 1000, from Seattle, makes it over the mountains and into the Canyon. Out in the landscape, I like being connected to that tether of magnetic waves. The signals travel across the landscape like me. They bring news from the rest of the world, tho it isn't always good news. The day before as I was cycling along Iron Horse Trail, this little radio brought me the news of another mass shooting in America. I tuned in, just at the end of the newscast. I wondered where it happened. Decided to listen on the next hour, but just as the news came on, some other cyclists were heading west on the trail. They ask me where I was going. Friendly conversation was preferable to news.After that, during another newscast, I heard that the shooting was in El Paso, Texas. |
