| 説明 | A dot of a full moon that is about to set is on the horizon above canyon walls, several thousand feet high. With the exception of one ridgeline that extends out into the canyon, most of the landscape is obscured by smoke. The moon was full here around 5:30 am this morning, just minutes before it set. (Thursday, August 15, 2019) NPS/M.QuinnHeat Warnings are in effect today and tomorrow! The high temperature on the canyon rim is expected to be 90°F, and inside the canyon, 113°F+. Management fires burning nearby may continue to produce visible smoke on both North & South Rims. Smoke settled into Grand Canyon overnight, but may lift as temperatures warm throughout the day. With the heat and smoke, it would be best to limit outdoor activities today and tomorrow. |
