| 説明 | The genus Nanhaipotamon is taxonomically challenging, since there are different colour morphs in one species, but different species sometimes look very similar to each other. Intraspecific G1 morphology is highly variable, interspecific G1 morphology, on the other hand and maybe due to that fact, low. To determine the status of the many undiscribed color morphs and putative species, more genetic research is necessary.Because of their resilient nature (You can basically keep them in a small, moist box with a lid and feed them once a week) and their striking colours, they are getting increasingly popular on the pet market, especially in mainland China. There are no regulations whatsoever on collection volume and size. Furthermore, the habitat and range of many species is not even known to the fullest. Although pet trade now does not appear to pose a significant threat to wild populations, we need more survey work in order to put together data on distribution and population status.Hong Kong Island, Hong Kong. |
