| 説明 | We are leaing the Chiang Rai hot springs now, thank goodness, just as several busloads of noisy Chinese tour groups are descending on the site. These particular hot springs (there are others elsewhere) are located in a large parking lot and are surrounded by stalls selling food and drinks. I pass this stall selling fresh fruit. I love the Thai obsession with healthy fresh fruit- you can see several carts selling fresh fruit, usually cut and served on a styrofoam tray with a tiny packet of salt. (I prefer the natural taste of the fruit without the salt). There are many Thai fruit stalls here in Dubai too and although they started off with very reasonable prices, the current asking prices for a single guava or half a mango are nothing short of daylight robbery! But that's another story. (Chiang Rai, north Thailand, Oct. 2018) |
