説明 | Photograph of U.S. Navy serviceman named Toney Matre interviewing other crew members in a living compartment on board the U.S. Navy aircraft carrier USS Bunker Hill (CV-17), for a story for the ship’s newsletter the Monument in April 1945 during World War II. Matre was one of the newsletter reporters. Photograph believed taken by Navy photographer Guy O. Cox of Wilson, N.C., while he was serving aboard the Bunker Hill.
