Singh, adjutant general for Maryland, along with members of the Commission on the Commemoration of the 100th Anniversary of the 19th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution attended the official unveiling of a historical marker May 4, 2019, at Carroll Lutheran Village in Westminster, Md. The highway marker celebrates the Just Government League, which was established in 1909, and became the largest organization in Maryland advocating for women’s suffrage. This is the third marker event sponsored by the Commission. There are two more currently planned. |
