Times Dec. 21, 1900Death of a PioneerPedro Yarra Passes Away After Living Seventy-senen Years Under On Roof in Los Angeles.Pedro Ybarra, one of the oldest pioneer residents of Los Angeles, died yesterday at his residence, N. 913 Buena Vista street. Mr. Ybarra lived all his life in Los Angeles, dying in the same house in which he was born seventy-seven years ago. His ancestors were among the earliest settlers of California. His family being one of the most prominent of the pueblo of Los Angeles in the early days. He is survived by his wife, Maria Valenzuela de Ybarra, two daughters and six sons, all unmarried, and living under the parental roof. The daughters are Arcadia and Mgadalena Ybarra; the sons are named Jose, Jose de la Cruz, Manuel, Geronimo, Pedro and Francisco. The funeral will take place from the family residence tomorrow. |
