| 説明 | Inside a Nissen hut converted into a hospital ward. The bowed ceiling is lined with wood and a long rug runs the length of the hut, possibly laid for the benefit of the Queen's visit. Beds line both sides, with a few wounded soldiers visible in those on the left. A nurse and some uniformed men stand next to the beds. The hut looks surprisingly bright and airy, with plants and decorative bedspreads adding a comforting touch. During her visits to the Western Front, Queen Mary spent a large part of her time meeting and talking to wounded soldiers and the nurses caring for them.
