| 説明 | This bad boy right here is the main Kintamani Volcano, also known as Mt. Batur. I was to have flown over this volcano in a helicopter, inspired by a Nat. Geo film Island Hunters by actress Liesel Hlista, but the chopper company unfortunately pulled the ride stating lack of patronage. They suggested I take the entire chopper for $ 700+ which would have been total overkill for a single person for a 20 min flight. This Kintamani volcano or Mount Batur, in particular, is a very popular trek. The captivating Mount Batur surrounds the 13-square kilometre Batur caldera lake. Those with a penchant for adventure can take a winding road down to the lake shore. This leads you to Toya Bungkah, Ulun Danu Batur temple, and a collection of hot springs and finally most of the way up to Mount Batur The trek takes about 2 hrs in all, starting before dawn.
