| 説明 | "What in God's name are those?", I hear you say. If you thought they were noodles, you'd be wrong. If you said, sprouting seeds, you'd be miles off the mark. They are in fact anguriñas al ajillo, a product of Pescanova, the Spanish fishing company based in Redondela, Galicia. www.pescanova.es/web/public/manager.php?p=HomeTo you and I they are simply fish (surimi) in garlic which Pescanova have cleverly produced in a package which you can microwave. One and a half minutes on half power and they are ready to serve; in my case, with a simple salad. They look like baby eels but in fact they are not. Eels (anguilas) are a lot more expensive than these.Before you turn your noses up and say "eek", let me tell you they have a lovely delicate flavour which is very slightly fishy with a hint of garlic. These are not something you should knock before you have tried them. Having said that, you would not catch Mrs W. eating these in a month of Sundays. As for me, I will try mostly anything. ¡Anguriñas al ajillo, qué ricos! |
