説明 | The second generation Cord, the 1936 810 and 1937 812, also front wheel drive, designed by Gordon Buehrig, were the first cars to get hidden headlights, they got a 125hp 289 cu in V8. The most famous feature was the coffin nose, a louvered wraparound grille. The 810 was available in Beverley Sedan or Westchester Sedan (the Beverley had more elegant upholstery). also the 2 passenger Sportsman Convertible or the 4 passenger Phaeton.Supercharging was made available on the 1937 812 model. These models were distinguished from the normally aspirated 812s by the brilliant chrome-plated external exhaust pipes mounted on each side of the hood and grill, horsepower was raised to 170. Also available in 1937 were 2 long wheelbase models, the Custom and top of the range Custom Berline. Only 21 of these Custom Berlines were built, they were 7 inches longer to give rear passengers more leg room, also featuring a wind up glass divider between front and rear passengers.
