Ikea's a big deal for people like me cuz I live in self-proclaimed podunk where good shopping requires driving 90 minutes to Santa Barbara.But also cuz I'm part Swedish (other part = Mexican) and one of my goals this year is to teach myself Swedish, which is a tough goal as ... well... have you HEARD Swedish?Meanwhile, in honor of new friends from Sweden (Sverige) and learning Swedish (tjena), today I hiked the Ikea Trail and treated myself to Swedish Meatballs and some kind of delicious apple cake. |
