説明 | This tomb is in the Lady Chapel in the south-east corner of the church. The chapel was originally named after St Nicholas and later it was called the Baber Chapel. The tomb, built in 1643, is that of Edward Baber, his wife and other members of the family who lived in Chew Court and were Lords of the Manor from 1575 to 1662. Edward died in 1578. The inscription at the base of the tomb is shown in the first comment and there is (or will soon be) more about the tomb – and the church itself – here. |
