| 説明 | I am in the Sacred Monkey Forest in Ubud, Bali, Indonesia and here is yet another of the park's denizens. As you can see, this fellow, like most other monkeys in the park is generally going about minding his own business and is fairly well behaved. My guide told me that the simians in a similar monkey forest in Lombok were a lot more aggressive. Here too, the trouble probably starts when the many gawking tourists begin to worry the animals for that valuable selfie- they needn't, there are gazillion opportunities to take pretty good shots of the animals without disturbing or worrying them. Problems may also occur when someone is carrying food, despite the park's warnings, and the monkeys get wind of it. In such a situation, it's better to let go of the bag or else the monkeys will bite if you try ot resist them. (Bali, Indonesia, May 2018) |
