LondonUnited Underground part 2. hosted by Ctrl.Alt.Shift, British Underground, Southbank Centre and actor and musician Riz Ahmed/ Riz MC, United Underground is a unique mix of cutting-edge street culture, music, artwork, fanzines and film set against a backdrop of new-school activism. The them of the evening was conflict.our Craftivism Corner had 3 projects all on the theme of the situation Sudan is in at the moment:*We got the public to make speech bubble badges with sayings in that would start conversations issues of conflict (e.g. "Do you care?", "War cry: a crying shame", "WTF is going on?!")* we had cut out doves from paper made out of elephant poo. we asked people to colour in one side and write a wish to the people of Sudan ont he other. * we made mini protest banner kits with conflict quotes and sudan quotes inside for people to make and take home with them to hang in a public place |
