説明 | >Difficult to find MTF charts for comparable lenses of equal vintage. > solid lines relate to contrast.> dotted lines relate to resolution.> 10 lppmm relates to high contrast but low resolution.> 40 lppmm relates to low contrast but high resolution.> At f8, all top brands have high resolution at centre.> Leica and Nikkor have significant field curvature. > Within the group, the Contax/Zeiss Distagon should render closest to today's lenses. > The Rolleinar has very interesting curves at f5.6 and f2.8, which indicate very sharp at centre, giving way to "character" towards edge of frame. [Cannot find MTF for f8 and f11, but the smaller stops should help to flatten the curves.] The Rolleinar curves [solid and dotted lines] are the closest together, producing consistency in reduction of contrast and resolution from centre to edge [such was a very desired goal for legacy lenses]. |
