| 説明 | San Francisco Municipal Railway ("Muni") # 1077 a St. Louis Car Company PCC painted in the "Tribute Livery" of the Birmingham Electric Company. Birmingham, Alabama operated similar cars from 1947 until 1953. This particular car was first sold to the Minneapolis/St. Paul transit system, then was passed on to the New Jersey Transit system. Acquired by the Muni in 2004, it spent 2004-2011 being restored by the Brookville Equipment Company (which restored most of the Muni's vintage cars...) Seen at the busy intersection of Market Street, (that the streetcar is on...) Gough (pronounced to rhyme with cough...) Street, (that the photographer is on, and continues after about a 20-30° left turn across Market) and Haight Street (that the Toyota is turning onto - a long way from Ashbury, BTW...) Taken by a Nikon F3HP with a Micro-Nikkor 55mm ƒ 3.5 AI lens on Fujicolor Superia Xtra 400 film.Scanned into computer by an Epson V700, with the Epson software.BTW, the McRoskey Mattress company has been at this location for decades... |
