| 説明 | 180826-N-PH222-0462 TRINCOMALEE, SRI LANKA (August 26, 2018) Sailors aboard San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock USS Anchorage (LPD 23) demonstrate fire-fighting techniques in the well deck to the Sri Lanka navy sailors during a regularly scheduled deployment of the Essex Amphibious Ready Group (ARG) and the 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU). Anchorage and the embarked Marines of the 13th MEU are conducting a theater security cooperation exercise with the Sri Lankan navy and Marines. Part of a growing U.S.-Sri Lanka naval partnership, the exercise is also an opportunity for U.S. Seventh Fleet to explore local logistics support services for visiting naval forces operating throughout the Indo-Pacific region.
