| 説明 | My favourite medium-length (5 miles, 8km) walk. From Monyash, down the valley until you reach the site of the old corn mill, then left up the old access lane and left up a steep bank to get to the start of the 'high level' path, which can be followed all the way through Ricklow quarry and back down into the meadow up to the Monyash road.As I was coming back on the high-level path to get to Ricklow quarry, I had had a pleasant chat with this farmer, Mr Mellors, who owns the nearby pasture land, and also, as I found out, most of the upper part of the dale itself! I don't know if his farm is 'Haddon Grove' or some other one, but if you see him along this track, he's a very pleasant man to talk to. |
