| 説明 | Ramses II in triplicate (the fourth one has been broken since antiquity), at his temple at Abu Simbel. When the Aswan Dam was built it should have disappeared under Lake Nasser, so what they did was cut it into many small pieces and reassemble it at a higher elevation. I can't figure out whether the reassembly or the original construction is more amazing!Inside there are 8 more Ramses IIs as the god Osiris...This was definitely a man who thought a lot of himself! :) |
