| 説明 | Members of the 9th Army Band reflect in the bell of Staff Sgt. Nami Fowler’s trombone during pre-ceremony music. Paratroopers from the U.S. Army Alaska’s 4th Infantry Brigade Combat Team (Airborne), 25th Infantry Division and the 1st Airborne Brigade Japanese Ground Self-Defense Force took part in opening ceremonies for exercise Arctic Aurora, June 1, 1028, at Pershing Field on Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson. Arctic Aurora is a yearly bilateral training exercise involving elements of the Spartan Brigade and the JGSDF, which focuses on strengthening ties between the two by executing combined small unit airborne proficiency operations and basic small arms marksmanship with a focus on combat readiness and interoperability between the two military forces.
