説明 | Cryptantha spiculifera is common throughout the Idaho National Laboratory sagebrush steppe including regularly disturbed settings and sites dominated by crested wheatgrass or cheatgrass. The short-lived perennial habit is indicated by not much of a leafy mat or bunch (with old leaves) and one stem per leafy rosette or perhaps multiple stems but then usually of varying height. The widely spreading coarse leaf hairs and the roughened nutlets with a style that consistently protrudes beyond them by more than 1 mm are also diagnostic. This site lies in the Wyoming big sagebrush steppe of the Idaho National Laboratory just south of the north main entrance, Butte County, Idaho. |
