説明 | Daimler was first founded in 1896, they bought Lanchester in 1933. By the 1930s Daimler was seeking new customers amongst the affluent middle class.The Daimler Fifteen was the cheaper Daimler of the time, built from 1932-38. Introduced with a 42hp 1805cc 6 cylinder engine, developed from the 4 cylinder 1200cc Lanchester Ten. In 1934, this was increased to 45hp 2003cc, performance was up about 10%.1936 saw a facelift, the swept tail of the new six-light saloon now covered the spare wheel. Engine size was increased again, now to 56hp 2166cc. Another update in 1936 saw the engine size increased to 66hp 2522cc, now available in a 6 light saloon and a more stylish 4 light sports saloon. Also a 4 door cabriolet, a fixed-head coupé (1937 only) and 2 door drophead coupé were also available. |
