| 説明 | Great example of being able to see the curvature of the earth, if you are familiar with toronto, you'll notice that the skydome is below the horizon. As well, you can't see the hull of the sailboat. Taken from the lake shore in Stoney Creek.What it looks like from the escarpmentDistance is around 50 Km (and it was a hazy day)This photo is being discussed at the flat earth society, where someone smart used it to try to show an example of the curvature of the earth. The responses are pretty funny, people calling me a fraud, that it's photoshopped etc. Anyway, for the record, this was taken at about 1m above water level, the distance to the CN Tower is around 51.53km. The other photos that are being posted are from the escarpment, which is much higher above water level, therefore you can see things at ground level in Toronto. |
