説明 | A pretty basic folding camera- these are unusual because the lens is behind the shutter. There is a screw thread in front of the shutter for additional 'portrait' lenses. About 1922. Most folding cameras from the 20s and 30s took 6 x9 cm negatives- big enough for contact printing. Very few photographers got their pictures enlarged. Autographic simply means there is a door in the back, and a stylus for writing on the back of the film. Autographic film was backed with a kind of carbon paper, allowing the photographer to label the negatives . (You'll often see white writing on the edges of old photos. ) |
