| 説明 | I enjoy gardening. As I live in the Midwest in the USA, my plants go in during the winter. They are dormant in a basement window. About 90% of them make it until Spring, when they return outside.This particular plant is a Sanservia. It is often called a snakeplant or Mother-in-laws Tongue. I am visiting my parents' home in Florida and it is growing beautifully outside. This plant rarely flowers and can go years without doing so. Usually, it flowers if it has undergone a stressful period. I would say these Sanservias were once under the shade of an oak tree. Once the dying oak was removed, they were more exposed to light and heat. They are also competing with some other ground cover. I guess that is why they have decided to flower - in their stressful state of mind!!! The flowers are beautiful and harmless to the plant's life and growth. |
