説明 | ... and changes the course of the investigation forever. (Folks, this what is called a "teaser". I'm posting the illustration poster before the associated story comes out. When I post the story this weekend, we will be at the half-way INTERMISSION. We'll take about a week intermission and then begin the investigation of the secretaries and bookkeepers. 007, while always a man's man, much prefers to work with women than with men. Please wait patiently for the narrative. Why would the President have the State Department send a solemn request for a meeting with 007 and M6 Control? Does the president have late breaking intelligence that will excellerate the investigation? Stay with us folks, all will be revealed by this coming Sunday. Any of the rest of you grown up on Saturday afternoon movie sereals and "cliff hangers?"The story continues:007 sat solemnly and thought for a moment about the phone call he had just received. He felt mixed emotions. One the one hand he wanted to cooperate completely with the other agencies, but he was extremely anxious to begin contact with the female targets of his investigation. He needed only to make calls to the agents in the field and request they contact him instantly when the thin man or one of his operatives met with a woman in any of the corporate offices. But now, he had this hurried trip to make and of all places why Washington D.C? But we can't keep the president of the United States of America waiting, can we? So, 007 began to pack for the early flight the very next morning. Heathrow to Dulles would be a fairly easy flight, but that wasn't solving his case, was it? Nothing to do but get busy and so he did. When he was met at the airport by a limousine service sent by the White House, 007 was surprised. He had anticipated checking into a hotel before taking a taxi to the historical home of all American presidents, since George Washington, the very first one. He was surprised again when he was met at the entrance to the White House by staff who took him immediately to a room which had been assigned to him. He found out later his colleagues from Interpol, Mossad and the new KGB had also been assigned rooms and were to be guests of the president. The staff person who helped him unpack informed him there would be a first meeting with the president at four in the afternoon, which would give everyone a chance for a good nap after their long flights. The only person attending the meetings who was not being housed in the White House was the CIA special agent, who lived in Washington D. C. and found it more convenient to commute to the White House from his office. When the knock at the door came, 007 had been up and ready to go for almost an hour. The hour had been spent reading over the progress reports of the investigation for the past few weeks. If called upon he wanted to be able to give an accurate picture of the progress being made with the investigation. The staff member lead 007 to the Oval Office, where he was cordially welcomed by the president and was immediately impressed with this very successful young leader. Introductions were made where necessary and the president called the meeting to order. The president stood and quietly addressed the agents present, “Gentlemen, the reason I have called this meeting is because of a very important new element that has developed in this case. I have been updated on the progress of all agencies daily, and recently we suspected and are now investigating the reality that we have a mole within our investigation. This is why the investigation seems to be stale-mated.” There was a hushed silence in the Oval Office. |
