説明 | Looking WNW from near foot of Brook St..Towboat "Matt S" (right) and two barges (hard to see one of them from this angle) which act as protectiver barrier to reduce risk of large objects drifting down and hitting excursion boat "Star of Louisville" at its moorings just above Clark Bridge (in distance). The sterns of these barges were swinging out into river, so "Matt S" is pushing them closer to riverbank so crewman (face obscured by shadow of tree) can tie them to small sycamore tree.Beyond barges, at center, is towboat "Helen B"..Twin screw towboat "Matt S" (doc. # 907034, length 52 feet, breadth 22 feet, Cummins KTA855-M diesels, 700 hp.)Built in 1987 by Marine Builders, Utica, Indiana and originally operated by Marine Transportation, Utica. In 1992, the boat was sold to St. Jude and New Madrid Marine Service, Portageville, Missouri, and renamed "Capt.
