| 説明 | I made this using MathMap. It's called the Escher-Droste effect, from our good friend M.C. Escher, and the math is explained here: www.josleys.com/article_show.php?id=82. Basically, you plot the pixels in the complex plane z=x+iy, transform it by applying the complex logarithm w=log(z), rotate it by just the right amount, then invert your logarithm by exponentiating (z=e^w). Tada!This is what happens when you start thinking about conformal mappings too much. |
