| 説明 | Nearly a dozen Soldiers from the Maryland National Guard’s 224th Area Support Medical Company deployed this morning in support of Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan. They will spend the next several weeks at Fort Hood, Texas, to receive additional training. From there they will travel overseas for their year-long mission. The specialized medical unit traces its lineage back to 1921. In addition to landing on Omaha Beach on D-Day, June 6, 1944, the unit most recently deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2008. |
