説明 | Built in 1901 at West Pender & Carrall. Recent renovations uncovered the painted sign 'Pekin Chop Suey House' on the brick exterior. John Mackie's 'A Tradition Restored' story (Vancouver Sun - April 14, 2007) mentions that this restaurant occupied part of this historic building during the 1920s & 30s. A 1911 archival photo reveals that the restaurant was here much earlier. Pekin Chop Suey House was one of the first restaurants in Vancouver to offer dim sum. |
