| 説明 | It was an innocent thing to do. Post an old photograph of a tough looking man on a horse, to a bulletin board dealing with old photographs. A great uncle who had mysteriously left Scotland and gone to Argentina, and then had mysteriously left Argentina and came back to Scotland.When he had left Scotland there was talk of shotguns and weddings. When he left Argentina the talk was of revolvers and bank robberies. When he left Scotland he was a poor farmhand. When he returned he had money enough to buy a farm. He lost the farm through drink and gambling. Pissed his fortune against the wall.Those were the stories, usually told second hand by some drunk with a grudge. Or by fishwives with folded arms and nodding heads in the market place. Then it happened. The exact same photo that I had posted appeared once again on the same bulletin board, but this time it was posted by someone from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.I wrote them an email asking why they had posted the photo. I never got a reply. I looked for the photo that they had posted, but it had been removed, and when I looked for their profile on the system it no longer existed. I feel there has been a loss on innocence somewhere. |
