| 説明 | A local bags seller eyes us curiously as we walk past her shop. Looking at these beautifully embroidered cloth bags, I was once again amazed at the close resemblance of her wares to the bags I had seen on sale in Yangshuo and Longji in China, which I had visited just a couple of months earlier. The soaring peaks and rocky terrain that surround this village of Lahic/ Lahij make farming impossible, so local people turned very long ago to crafts. Copper-smithing is not the only thing Lahic is most famous for. Almost everyone who lives here can turn shapeless things into objects of art beauty.
