| 説明 | Leontine Hirsch (as she was at birth) was Hugo Hirsch's cousin and childhood sweetheart when they both lived in western Bavaria. In 1880 Hugo emigrated to England and changed his surname to Hirst. in 1892 he married Leontine, or "Dini" as he affectionately called her. Leontine became Lady Hirst in 1925 when Hugo was made a baronet. She died in 1938.The photograph is reproduced with the permission of its owner, Mrs Sandra Potter, who is a great granddaughter of Lord Hirst. |
