| 説明 | FWRI manatee rescue on 9/15/17 in Melbourne, FloridaManatees stranded by IrmaDuring rough weather conditions, such as a hurricane or tropical storm, manatees can become stranded. Our biologists have been responding to many reports of stranded manatees caused by Irma. If you encounter a stranded, injured or dead manatee, please do not attempt to handle it on your own and call our Wildlife Alert Hotline at 888-404-3922 or text/email Tip@MyFWC.com. Manatees stranded by storms may need immediate medical attention from wildlife experts. While our top priority has been to help residents and visitors of Florida recover from the impacts of Irma, we are also working collaboratively with the public and a network of partners to save these gentle giants.
