| 説明 | The approach to Qumran Cave 11. Here you can see clearly the soft limestone marl of the cliffs. This is the cave where archaeologists found the Temple Scrolls (11QT) and a very significant psalms scrolls (11QPs a), among other documents. The floor of the cave was originally several feet higher, but it has been excevated to its present level. The mouth of the cave was also a much narrower fissure. The cave today is inhabited by a thriving colony of bats. |
